History of ACE, Inc.

       Philip Durant founded American Computer Enterprises, Inc. in 1997 from the bedroom of his parent’s house. From the outset it was a small but tightly focused company and remains that way today.

       We have steadily grown larger over the years, but have always been there to provide the highest quality service and best products to our highly valued clients. We have been building long term relationships since day one and continue that effort every day. Our clients are the reason we are here and that value is instilled in every employee daily.



The ACE Team

        Philip Durant has been fully involved with computers, electronics, and technology since he was a young boy. He began attending the University of South Alabama after graduating from Daphne High School but went on hiatus after two years to dedicate all of his time and energy to the growing needs of the company.
       His experience in the technology sector comes from years of tinkering with PC’s and electronics to actually beginning work in the field with clients at the age of 16. This was while working for several other technology companies in the area.
       He continually pursues certifications and training on a constant basis to stay up to date with the latest technologies and bring the best information to the company’s clients. He currently holds CompTIA’s A+ and Network + certifications and others from Microsoft, Cisco, and other vendors. He has also had the great privilege to have had the instruction from several different mentors over the years in order to hone his skills.
       He is also very active in the local community and is a former member in the local Rotary Club, sat on the Better Business Bureau of South Alabama Board of Directors, and is a Past Commodore of the Lake Forest Yacht Club. He is one hundred percent dedicated to the company and its success.


       William DeLaney joined the company in 2005 as a consultant. After a long and distinguished career in the United States Army, he retired and moved to Daphne to start his post-retirement life.
       William has worked in the computer industry on a full time basis since his retirement from the service in 2004. He was the Technology Director for Chi Alpha Christian Academy here in Daphne, as well as IT Support Manager for several title and real estate companies in town.
       He currently holds certifications from CompTIA’s A+, Network +, and Security+, as well as Microsoft’s MCP certification. In the next year, he strives to gain other certifications from CISCO’s CCNA, CCNP and Microsoft’s MCSA, MCSE server 2003.
       William continually pursues certifications and training on a constant basis to deliver the best expertise and information to the company and its clients.


       Jason Hendricks attended the University of South Alabama with his majors being in Computer Science and Math. Jason' skills and expertise are a great asset to the company in the areas of PC diagnostic and repair, network setup, PC software setup and training. Jason is extremely focused on providing excellent client service to everyone. He continually strives to be the best in his field.


       Kimberly Montgomery began with the company in July 2007 as Office Administrator. She is a graduate of Fairhope High School and attended the University of Alabama. She majored in fashion-retail and marketing. She also served as Office Manager of Chemical Associates before joining American Computer Enterprises, Inc. Kimberly is responsible for the day to day operation of the office including client relations and accounting.
